Artist Class Today, Get my Tutorial/Mini Kit for only $10, Jennifer McGuire Classes

Hello! This is a long post, but there are three freebies for you soon!

I am happy to report that my Digital Artist Trading Card (ATC) Tutorial is being featured on Artist Class today. In this project I share several quick digital art tips and tricks, including how to make your own digital papers, extract images, and more!

And I have some good news for you! In addition to the option to purchase the full Artist Class below, Mary is adding a new option this weekend so that you can sign up for my individual Tutorial and Mini Kit for only $10! I sure hope you will check it out and let me see what you make! You can sign up here! starting Sunday.

Participants will download a 7-page PDF with step-by-step instructions, a link for a free trial download of Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0, and this fun French Dictionary Mini Kit!

The Mini Kit has digital papers and elements I created using the fabulous 1905 French Dictionary/Encyclopedia images from GreenPaperPackages images. This digital kit is perfect for making vintage style ATCs, cards, collages, scrapbooks, and more! And no worries, if you are more of a hybrid crafter you can just print the papers and elements, cut them out, and add them to your projects!

Here are some sample ATCs I created with the Mini Kit:

By the way, you can still register for the entire Artist Class - the blog will be open through February and the projects are so fun. You can sign up at: www.e-junkie.com/artistclass; don't forget to use my code "dustypenny" (no quotes) for a $10 discount!

There are tons of fun projects in Artist Class besides my digital ATC's including:
--a cake made out of books and covered with vintage lace
--a memory album from a vintage record album book with lots of pockets for souvenirs
--an altered tin and gift tags (see what I did with this here)
--sweet paper doll dresses (see what I did with this here)

And how about some freebies featuring a beautiful butterfly image from Green Paper (*.png)? It is perfect for cards and scrapbook pages!

Miscellaneous

This weekend I took three fun classes in Princeton, Indiana with Sally Lynn MacDonald of Inky Heart: Copic Markers 101 – What? How? & WOW!; Glimmer Mist Techniques: Haunted Shadows album; and Clearly Capable – aka ‘Let No Surface Remain UnInked’ – Fall Theme.

You will have to stay tuned for pictures at a later date because we didn't have time to finish our projects. However, it was a lot of fun!

There is a great little store there caller Paper Chase Arts, too. I found tons of cool things that no one seems to carry here in the Indianapolis area.

I also met Tammy Tutterow of Fairy Davis briefly. I really like her website -- tons of free vintage images for use in your artwork!

And speaking of vintage, I coerced my lovely husband (who also graciously drove me to and from my classes) into going to the antique mall while we were there. I gave him a list of things I was looking for, and he did just great:

--a big jar of buttons,
--a 1951 Winston Dictionary for Schools,
--four sets of vintage sheet music dating 1924-1925,
--three blank postcards, and
--two postcards with 1 cent stamps dating 1944 and 1947

I wish more people would check out Artist Class. I am really happy that I was asked to participate. There are tons of fun projects besides my digital ATC's including:

--a cake made out of books and covered with vintage lace
--a memory album from a vintage record album book with lots of pockets for souvenirs
--a pretty fabric-lined box for storing treasures
--one-of-a-kind rings from discarded vintage earrings, shoe buckles, and buttons
--altered vintage keys to use in assemblage work and as charms and pendants
--a Voodoo heart box
--an altered tin and gift tags
--sweet paper doll dresses

And how about another little freebie featuring a beautiful woodgrain image from Green Paper (*.png and *.jpg)? It is perfect for your masculine-themed cards and scrapbook pages!

Spot Check Add-On

In case you missed it, please read my original post and download my new "Spot Check" Mini Kit freebie:

I also made you a little Add-On freebie! This includes: 5 crumpled plain papers and 5 shiny brads with spots:

Download: http://www.4shared.com/file/142531090/ae589ccf/dpd_sc_add_on.html

Here is a card I made using my "Spot Check" Mini Kits along with Hero Arts digital images. I tore up a plain mailing envelope, scanned it, and then turned it into a mask in Photoshop Elements so I could add paper tearing along the bottom.
