Slimming Saturday: Week 8
Happy Saturday!
I lost 2.4 lbs last week for a total of 8 lbs. I'm pretty happy with that. Of course, I wish it would go faster, but I'm ok with slow and steady, too.
Thanks for visiting!

Slimming Saturday: Week 6
Gained 0.6 lb this week. I'm not that surprised. We were out of town last weekend and I went a little overboard on eating. Plus I didn't get as much exercise in this week.
Oh well, it's just a little setback. I will keep going!

Slimming Saturday: Week 4
This post should probably be called Setback Saturday. Vacations seem to equal weight gain, and this time was no exception. I'm up about 2 pounds.
Here are a few of the delicious reasons why it is impossible to count Weight Watchers Points on a cruise ship:
I'm a little disappointed about the weight gain, but not surprised. I will just keep exercising and following Weight Watchers Points. I should be back to losing again soon.
Thanks for visiting!
Hugs,
Here are a few of the delicious reasons why it is impossible to count Weight Watchers Points on a cruise ship:
Ginger-Teriyaki dusted Angus Beef Tenderloin on Wasabi Mashed Potatoes
with Bok Choy and a Tamarind-Barbecue Reduction
Our Special Anniversary Dessert (Chocolate Mousse, I think)
Double Cut Rack of Lamb with a Dijon Crust
(This was Stephen's dinner, but I like the picture.)
White Chocolate Brownie Cheesecake
with Whipped Cream and Raspberry Coulis
North Atlantic Lobster Ravioli with roasted Garlic
and sweet Basil scented Tomato Juice
Roasted Pork Tenderloin seasoned with Smoked Salt
Citrus flavored Polenta Cakes and oven-roasted Carrots, Parsnips,
and caramelized Granny Smith Apples
Thanks for visiting!

Slimming Saturday: Week 3
Happy Anniversary to my lovely husband, Stephen. We have been married 17 years today.
It has been three weeks since I embarked on my commitment to diet and exercise.
This week I continued walking and eating right. When I missed walking one day I just made up for it the next by doubling the amount of time I walked.
This week I lost 4.2 lbs. Hubby re-calibrated our scale since my last weigh-in so I suspect that amount was spread out over the three weeks. Either way it is good to see my hard work is paying off. I just have to keep it up!
Thanks for visiting! Have a great weekend.

Slimming Saturday: Week 2
Happy Saturday!
It has been two weeks since I embarked on my commitment to diet and exercise.
This week I walked for 30 minutes each night. I also followed the Weight Watcher's Points Plus Program. When a craving for Chinese food struck we found a healthier recipe to make at home instead of placing an order like we would have in the past.
I lost 0.2 lbs this week. A little discouraging, but my total is up to 0.6 lbs now. The scale is not moving much, but I have noticed that I am not as winded walking up the stairs.
Thanks for visiting! Have a great weekend.

Slimming Saturday: Week 1
Confession: My weight has been a struggle for me since before I was a teenager. I have tried just about every diet you can imagine. I have had some small successes in the past, but they were short-lived. The weight kept coming back and then multiplying.
Last Saturday I embarked on a commitment to diet and exercise in an effort to improve my overall health. I'm normally a very private person, but my hope is that blogging about this will help keep me focused on my goal.
I walked for 20 minutes each night. I also followed the Weight Watcher's Points Plus Program. We made several healthy meals, including fish, which we rarely make at home. My husband Stephen found the recipe for butter herb baked fish on Cooks.com. Note: You can use less butter than the recipe suggests. Also be sure to crush the saltines up really well.
After one week I lost 0.4 lbs. The scale wasn't especially generous, but I'm not going to let that get me down.
I would love to hear your slimming secrets and words of encouragement. Thanks for listening and I'll be back tomorrow with some stamping.
