Slimming Saturday: Week 2
Happy Saturday!
It has been two weeks since I embarked on my commitment to diet and exercise.
This week I walked for 30 minutes each night. I also followed the Weight Watcher's Points Plus Program. When a craving for Chinese food struck we found a healthier recipe to make at home instead of placing an order like we would have in the past.
I lost 0.2 lbs this week. A little discouraging, but my total is up to 0.6 lbs now. The scale is not moving much, but I have noticed that I am not as winded walking up the stairs.
Thanks for visiting! Have a great weekend.
Hugs,

Good for you, Joy! Walking every day is a wonderful way to get fit. It may take awhile, but I know you will see results if you keep at it. A friend of mine has lost 50 lbs. since October 2011 by walking and eating smaller food portions. She looks great!
Well done you! It might seem disheartening at the moment, but even 0.2 a week adds up... think about how much that would be in a year!
Your body is adjusting to the new changes. Do not let it get you down. It will get better I promise. Hugs:)
hang in there Joy.... drink lots of water too.
Sometimes the improvement is more in inches and fitness than pounds! You're on the way now. . . each small step counts.
Awesome news Joy! Walking is such a fantastic exercise and so sociable too! You're doing great. Don't just bank on what the scale says, be conscious of how you feel IN your clothes, and IN your skin, you'll see, you will notice it very soon if you haven't already! One of the first things I noticed when I ate healthier was that my stomach flattened out and I did not feel bloated anymore, even though the number on the scale did not change.
