Congratulations Love Birds

Hello. Happy Weekend.

IMG_5380

My long distance friend and coworker is getting married today. I cut the birds and the “Angie and Bob” right out of their wedding invitation. The background is the Hero Arts CG269 Happy Definition on a Latte Folded Card. I also added a Hero Arts button from Mixed Sea Buttons and some American Crafts twine. The banner die and the dark brown paper are from Papertrey Ink. The circle / lacey circle dies are from Spellbinders.

What did you do today? I took an Archiver’s class and did some shopping earlier today (picked up a few more Hero Arts stamps among other things).

Now we’re making Grilled Asian Drumsticks for dinner. There are only five ingredients: chicken drumsticks, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, honey, and sambal oelek (ground fresh chili paste). Email me if you want the recipe. It is spicy but good.

Hero Arts Cards and Giveaway

Thanks for visiting! This giveaway is now closed.

Hello. TGIF tomorrow. Why do short weeks always feel so long?

I needed some anniversary cards and I was inspired by THIS beautiful card by Kelly Booth. Here are some close-ups of each card:

Stamps: Hero Arts (S5471, CG269, CL342); Inks: Ranger (Distress Inks), Tsukineko (Versa Mark), Hero Arts (Black), Color Box (Frost White); Papers: Neenah (Solar White), Recollections (Kraft); Other: Papertrey Ink (banner die); American Crafts (White Embossing Powder), Faber-Castell (Green Colored Pencil)

Now for the giveaway! Someone bought the stamp below twice, so I am giving one of them away! Just become a follower with Google Friend Connect on the left and leave a comment on this post for your chance to win. I’ll pick the winner on Sunday morning.

Summer Card Camp Week 2

week2-colors

Two posts in one day? Wow, I could really get used to having Mondays off, especially during Summer Card Camp!

Here is a card I made based on the Week 2 Color Scheme. Lots of fun with Hero Arts stamps and Copic markers. I am also entering this in the current Hero Arts challenge since it is a summery card.

Happy Fourth of July

Hope you are having a great holiday weekend if you are here in the states.

Stephen and I took a fun little road trip to Brown County (Nashville, Indiana) on Saturday. Here are a few patriotic photos I took while we were there:
