More Summer Fun
Hello. I hope you are doing well. I really appreciate your kind comments.
Unfortunately it is difficult for me to comment on all the other lovely blogs and groups out there right now. I won't bore you with the details, but please know that I am thinking of all my crafty pals in the blogosphere and sending you all lots of hugs. Hope you understand.
We have had a lot of storms here recently. Last night a little shopping center near our house was destroyed, and they think lightning was the culprit. The pictures looked bad on the news this morning, but it was even worse when I drove past it on my way to and from work. Very sad.
So here is another colorful card for the current Hero Arts Blog Challenge. I used a page from a vintage sewing book, colored the stamp with markers, spritzed it with water, and stamped.
Stamp(s): Hero Arts (CG170 Wildflower Garden, CL380 Truly Appreciated)
Ink(s): Hero Arts (Black); Marvy Uchida (Assorted Markers)
Paper(s): Hero Arts (Folded Note Cards); The Paper Company (Kraft); Vintage Text
Other: Hero Arts (Mixed Accents); Michael's Coats & Clark (Thread); Sizzix (Card, Scallop #2)
This little summer tote bag was fun to make. I just love the Hero Arts DigiKit - HA Sea Life - Otters. Aren't they cute and cuddly?
I really like how the stitching and buttons came out, too. Here is a close-up:
Stamp(s): Hero Arts (DigiKit - HA Sea Life - Otters)
Ink(s): Tsukineko (StazOn Jet Black)
Paper(s): Avery (Printable Fabric)
Other: Hero Arts (CH148 Card Buttons Spring) Michael's (Mini Canvas Bag); Coats & Clark (Thread)

June Card Chain Challenge
A new month means another fun Card Chain Challenge hosted by Deborah!
This is the card I sent to Betty in NE. I had this cute farm-themed fabric and it worked perfectly for a quilted card. I toyed with placing a sentiment on the front but decided to stick with the "Dairy Fresh" text instead.
Alice sent me two stunning cards from CA. Isn't she talented? I really love the text background and color-layering on the first card and the shiny butterfly and embossed background on the second card.
And here is a color-layering card I made for the current Hero Arts Blog challenge. I stamped directly on Sticky Back Canvas with my Hero Arts Chalk Inks. It is hard to see, but I also stitched around some of the card right before my old sewing machine died and went to sewing machine heaven... I might post more on that on another day.
I'll try to add the produt details later this week. It is past my bedtime and I have a very full day tomorrow.

Happy Father's Day
Hello. Hope you are having a good weekend.
We are going to see Toy Story 3 today because husband thinks it would be a good idea to get me out of my craft room for awhile. I have been doing some reorganizing and it is easy for me to obsess over it if I'm not careful.
Anyway, I thought I would share the Father's Day card we sent to our Dads this year. Ok, I made them myself but husband did drop them in the mailbox! LOL.
Stamp(s): Hero Arts (CL335 Happy Dad's Day)
Ink(s): Tsukineko (Tuxedo Black); ColorBox (Chestnut Roan)
Paper(s): Yours Truly (Chocolate Flat Note); The Paper Cut (Fossil Note Cards)
Other: Michael's (Ribbon); Making Memories (Brad); Prima (Flowers); Copic (Assorted Markers); Tim Holtz (Tiny Attacher)
I will be back later this week to share a few other cards.
