More Summer Fun
Hello. I hope you are doing well. I really appreciate your kind comments.
Unfortunately it is difficult for me to comment on all the other lovely blogs and groups out there right now. I won't bore you with the details, but please know that I am thinking of all my crafty pals in the blogosphere and sending you all lots of hugs. Hope you understand.
We have had a lot of storms here recently. Last night a little shopping center near our house was destroyed, and they think lightning was the culprit. The pictures looked bad on the news this morning, but it was even worse when I drove past it on my way to and from work. Very sad.
So here is another colorful card for the current Hero Arts Blog Challenge. I used a page from a vintage sewing book, colored the stamp with markers, spritzed it with water, and stamped.
Stamp(s): Hero Arts (CG170 Wildflower Garden, CL380 Truly Appreciated)
Ink(s): Hero Arts (Black); Marvy Uchida (Assorted Markers)
Paper(s): Hero Arts (Folded Note Cards); The Paper Company (Kraft); Vintage Text
Other: Hero Arts (Mixed Accents); Michael's Coats & Clark (Thread); Sizzix (Card, Scallop #2)
This little summer tote bag was fun to make. I just love the Hero Arts DigiKit - HA Sea Life - Otters. Aren't they cute and cuddly?
I really like how the stitching and buttons came out, too. Here is a close-up:
Stamp(s): Hero Arts (DigiKit - HA Sea Life - Otters)
Ink(s): Tsukineko (StazOn Jet Black)
Paper(s): Avery (Printable Fabric)
Other: Hero Arts (CH148 Card Buttons Spring) Michael's (Mini Canvas Bag); Coats & Clark (Thread)
Thanks for looking! Comments are appreciated!
Hugs,

Love the bold and bright colors on your flowers, beautiful background and love the scalloped edges on both sides!
Hi Joy...I'm hoping everything works out for you soon. Please know I care and I'm keeping you in prayer. You certainly have the themes of summer and cheerful covered with these projects. Your card is so excellent, what a perfect design! And I just love the sweet little bag with the otters. How inspiring!
bless you,
nancy
Hope you are doing okay, my friend. I'm thinking of you. I love your mini tote. And that bright, floral card with the text-- INCREDIBLE! HUGS!
Great projects, I especially love the bright colors of the first card.
I love your flower card and that tote is too cute! I'll be thinking about you. Sending hugs and hoping things get better.
Oh I love these Joy! The layout is so cute and I LOVE this card with all of the gorgeous colours! Your tote is fantastic - I especially love the stitching!
:-)
Hi, Joy! Sorry to hear about the lightning strike! They are always so sudden and tragic! I remember we lived in Nora Pines apartments behind the post office and Target store in Nora Plaza when a tornado went through once ... straight down 86th Street, and mangled signs, moved cars, and more. Storms are so unpredictable and can really have such an impact!
I really like the card you made! It is so pretty! I just got the Wildflower Garden cling set and I am just loving it!
Sorry you can't play as often as you'd like lately. Whatever it is, I hope it works out for the best, and soon, so you can play again! Thinking positive happy thoughts for you! :-)
Hi Joy, I love this card and the tote bag. Love the colorful flowers on the card--very pretty. The tote bag is cute and the otters are adorable. Sorry to hear about the storm that destroyed the shopping center. I live in Alabama and there are lots of tornados around here and can be very scarry when they happen. I will pray for you. You take care and God Bless.
