I took the Timeless Traditions Holiday Card Workshop at Archiver's earlier this month. Fun class, but it was sure busy and crowded!

This workshop featured Hero Arts stamps (my favorite!), a neat multi-color embossing technique, and a unique use of Tattered Angels glimmer mists to paint stamped images.

Here is a picture of all of the cards we made (not bad for $15!):



The tree and sentiment was embossed in gold on this Merry Christmas card. Then we sprayed Meadow Green Glimmer Mist into a bowl and used a paint brush to color the tree. We also used Apple Red on the base. Fun technique!



We used the multi-color embossing technique on this snowflake card. Just stamp with Versamark ink, then apply gold embossing powder to part of the image and silver embossing powder on the rest. Very easy and gives a nice two-tone shine. Sorry the picture didn't come out better -- flash + glimmer cardstock = not good.



Same embossing technique on this bird card, then we filled it in with a glue pen and Hero Arts Prisma Glitter. The Hero Arts pointsettia was sprayed with Apple Red Glimmer Mist for a nice shine.

The white panel was the only piece we had to cut ourselves and I managed to mess it up in the die cutting machine-- it was supposed to have the scallop edge all the way around but mine got cut off. Oh well, I just adhered it to the bottom instead. The great thing about giving handmade cards is that usually the people you give them to don't really notice those things!



I think this last card is my favorite. It used the same embossing technique as well.
