sending happy thoughts (set of 4)

Created for Thinking Inking and inspired by Jennifer's pretty bookmarks. You can see closeups of each card in my photostream if you would like to take a closer look.

Stamped and embossed the Hero Arts F5158 Heart Winged Buterfly. I used Jennifer's watercoloring technique on the butterfly with Perfect Pearls in Forever Green, Forever Blue, Forever Red, and Forever Violet.

Stamped the Hero Arts S5101 DesignBlock: Raindrop Background on the Kraft notecards then distressed the edges for a worn look.

Distressed the office tags with Distress Inks in Broken China, Shabby Shutters, Dusty Concord, and Worn Lipstick, then used Jennifer McGuire's splotching technique over them.

The sentiment is Hero Arts CL305 ClearDesign: Sending Happy Thoughts. This sentiment spoke to me since I can use all the happy thoughts I can get this week after the passing of my coworker. I really appreciate your kind thoughts and coming to look at your wonderful creations is comforting.

I finished the cards with some black pearls and raffia. I'm really pleased with the way these came out. I love Jennifer's Thinking Inking class and don't want it to end!

Joy - the butterflies are so vibrant. Love them and the cards. You really do keep yourself busy. I watched the video this evening and I might just have to buy some perfect pearls. I have Pearlex powder which is similar but not quite the same.
